The Americas & International Real Estate

Course Credit:

  • Counts as one CIPS elective course to be applied towards the CIPS Designation (three of the four regional elective courses are required).

 The Americas & International Real Estate - Course Objective 

Practical information for professionals who work with Caribbean, North, Central, and South American investors. Historical and cultural influences, regional relationship, and investment opportunities are covered along with a special focus on Mexico.

  • Review the basic principles from the Essentials of International Real Estate, a CIPS course.

  • Define the Americas region and identify its major countries and territories.

  • Describe important social and economic sub-regions of the Americas and any treaties that influence interaction between them.

  • Characterize the business environments and general economic conditions of the region’s principal countries.
